YSR Vahana Mitra- Auto Driver Scheme
The scheme of Vahana Mitra is for all the auto drivers in the state. The scheme was officially started on September 14, 2019. The implementation agency at the state and district level is the Transport Department of Andhra Pradesh.
Financial Assistance of Rs. 10,000 is provided to all the owners of the cab, auto, etc. This financial aid will cover up all the expanses of all such drivers which include the expanses from the insurance, repair, fitness, certification, etc. This assistance amount will be provided to all the drivers every year. With the scheme, the government has provided a financial aid of Rs. 510 Crore until now.
Vahana Mitra Scheme: New Update
the YSR Government has announced the second phase of the scheme for the taxi/ cab/ auto drivers of the state. This time the scheme aims to cover all such drivers who are experiencing the situation of unemployment and money crisis due to the lockdown situation ongoing in the country.
The plan will include all the owners cum drivers of all such vehicles whose major employment is driving. This time the state government aims to complete the application process by 26 May. The entire process of the application will be managed by the ward and the village-level secretaries.

YSR Vahana Mitra Scheme Eligibility Criteria
All the applicants of the scheme who want to be the beneficiary of the scheme should fulfill certain criteria to deem any person eligible for the scheme. The state government has set up the eligibility criteria for the scheme to provide a category to the candidates thereby categorizing them as eligible or ineligible for the scheme. Step 1: Go to the Official Website of the YSR Vahana Mitra Scheme, by the Transport Department of Andhra Pradesh. (Direct link to the official website is provided in the sections below).
Step 2: On the homepage of the official portal user will see a link on the notice board of the page. The link will be titled ‘Online Application for Financial Assistance to Owner Cum Driver w.r.t. Auto / Taxi / Cab Vehicles‘. Click on the link.
Step 3: Clicking on the link, a new page will open up. On the new page, users will see a set of options. Among the listed options click on the Online Application Sections.
Step 4: An application form will open on your screen. Fill in the application with all the details mentioned in the form.
Step 5: After filling up the application. Users can click on the Preview button and once again check the made application. After that click on the ‘Submit’ button located on the page.
Step 6: Post submission, all of the information of the applicant will be generated on the web page. Take a printout of the final application obtained.
Users will also obtain an Application ID, secure it to use for future references.

Applicants who have already applied for the Vahana Mitra Scheme can also check the status of their application on the portal. The portal of the YSR Vahana Mitra offers to check the status of the applications made by the residents of the state. To check their application, residents can follow the steps detailed below:

Step 2: On the portal Homepage, users will see a tab of ‘Application Status‘. Tap on the ‘CLICK HERE‘ link under the Application Status. Clicking on it, the applicants will be directed to another page.
Step 3: On the new page, users will land on the page where applicants will have to enter their Applicant ID provided at the time of registration. Also, the applicant will have to enter their Aadhar Number. Enter both the details and click on the Submit button as depicted below.

Download Vahana Mitra Receipt
Applicants who are the beneficiaries of the scheme can also download their receipts. The receipts are available on the official portal of the department only. To download the receipt, applicants can follow the steps:
- Visit the official Vahana Mitra Portal.
- On the Portal Homepage, users will have to tap on the ‘CLICK HERE’ link under the Download Receipt tab.
- Clicking on the tab, users will be directed to the next page.
- On the next page, to view the receipt, the applicant will have to enter the individual Applicant ID and the Aadhar no.
- After entering both, click on the Submit button in line with the options.
- Clicking on the option, your receipt will be available on your device screen. The receipt will be in PDF format.
- Make sure to take a printout of this available receipt for any future references, if required.
YSR Vahana Mitra Beneficiary List
Lakhs of applicants apply to be the beneficiary under the Vahana Mitra Scheme. The state government thus releases a beneficiary list for all the applicants who made an application for the scheme and were eligible for the scheme. The list is published online on the portal only. Citizens who want to check the beneficiary list for the scheme can follow the steps detailed below and check the status.
- Go to the official portal of the YSR Vahana Mitra.
- On the homepage noticeboard, click on the link ‘Online Application for Financial Assistance to Owner Cum Driver w.r.t. Auto / Taxi / Cab Vehicles‘.
- Clicking on the link, a new page will open.
- On the new page, the applicants will have to select the option of Beneficiary List among the list of options available on the screen.
- Selecting the option, a PDF will open. The pdf will consist of the name of all the beneficiaries selected for the scheme for the current year.
- Look for your name and make sure to take a print out of the same for future use.
Phase 2- Vahana Mitra Payment Status
As per the data released by the state government, the government has by far assisted the amount of Rs. 10,000 to about 2,36,343 beneficiaries within the state. For this year, the count of beneficiaries has increased up to 2,73,476.
With the extended application dates, last year more than 11,000 Citizens of the state became beneficiaries in the state. The amount of Rs. 10,000 was distributed to the account of this 11,501 beneficiary account.
YSR Vahana Mitra Offline Application Form
The application for the Vahana Mitra is also available offline. The offline applications are also done under the Transport Department of Andhra Pradesh. If any case, the applicant cannot make an online application for the scheme, then the candidate can also apply offline. To apply offline, applicants can follow the steps listed below.
Step 1: Application Form
Firstly, the applicants will have to obtain the application from the e-Seva centers/ Community Service Centres (CSCs)/ MeeSeva centers or the Navasakam Scheme web portal. Step 2: Filling up the Application Form
After the applicant has the application form, the next thing he needs to do is fill up the application. The applicant will have to enter all the details asked in the form. The details will be like the Applicant name, Ration Card Number (White)/ BPL no. , Aadhar number, address details, Caste details, Vehicle details, bank details, and Driving License details.
Step 3: Application Submission
After completing the application, the applicant will have to attach all the essential documents required to make the application. All the documents have been detailed above. Attach all the documents and submit the application and documents to the Village/ Ward Volunteers. The application can also be submitted to the Village Secretaries.
