“Telangana Shaadi Mubarak” is the scheme that specifically covers the Muslim girls in the state for a similar cause. On 2 October 2014, the Chief Minister of Telangana, Kalvakuntla Chandrashekar Rao launched the Kalyana Lakshmi scheme. Under this scheme, the government promised an amount of Rs. 51,000 to the families belonging to scheduled caste and tribes.

Through this scheme, the government aims at providing financial assistance to these families at the time of the daughter’s marriage. The funds were later extended to all economically weak families. This article describes the project and explains all the necessary information related to it.

The prime objective of the Telangana Government to launch the scheme was to support the girls who belong to the minority. The families of the brides have to face a lot of problems when the subject of marriage is taken into consideration. Eligibilty Criteria to apply for Telanagana Shaadi Mubarak Application

Telangana government has laid down very strict eligibility criteria for the scheme. The brides who qualify the given standards can only get profits:

• Must be a permanent of Telangana.
• The minimum age of the bride must be 18 yeasrs.
• The groom must be at least 21 years old.
• The family should belong to the minority category.
• The income of the family from all the sources must be less than Rs. 2 Lakh per annum.

The applicants must have the following documents before applying for the Telangana Shaadi Mubarak Scheme, and all files should compulsorily be in jpeg or jpg format and the size of the file must be greater than 50KB and less than 150KB :

• Age Proof Certificate of the Bride
• Aadhar Card of the Bride, Bride’s Mother and the Groom in a scanned format

The Applicants can directly apply online or visit a MEESEVA Centre to apply for financial assistance under the scheme. The procedure to apply online is very simple and the eligible candidates can easily apply by following the steps given below:

1. Visit the official web page of ePASS or electronic Payment & Application System of Scholarships at telanganaepass.cgg.gov.in.
2. Scroll down the page to find the schemes on the homepage and click on “Kalyana Lakshmi Shaadi Mubarak“.
3. A Kalyana Laxmi Pathakam Services page will open up with services for both Kalyana Lakshmi and Shaadi Mubarak scheme.

4. In the “Shaadi Mubarak Services For Minority“, select the “Registration” option.
5. An application form for the scheme will open up where the candidate will have to fill various details.

6. Enter the following details of the bride. For example Name, Date of Birth, Aadhar number, educational qualifications, phone number and all the required fields.
7. Enter the Income certificate details of the family, like the Meeseva number, applicant name, father name and more.
8. Mention the present and permanent address. Tick the box if the present address is same as permanent addressand the system will automatically copy the details.
9. Orphans have to fill their own bank account details and others will have to enter the details of their mother’s bank account.
10. The details of the bridegroom will also have to be mentioned since the age of the bridegroom will be verified.
11. Further, the details of the marriage will have to be supplied like the date, and name as well as address of marriage place.
12. Finally, upload all the documents in the jpg or jpeg format with size less that 150 KB and more than 50KB.
13. Review the Telangana Shaadi Mubarak application form and enter “Submit“.

In case certain corrections need to be made in the application submitted for the Shaadi Mubarak Scheme, follow the given steps:

1. Visit the official web page of ePASS or electronic Payment & Application System of Scholarships at telanganaepass.cgg.gov.in.
2. Scroll down the page to find the schemes on the homepage and click on “Kalyana Lakshmi Shaadi Mubarak“.
3. A Kalyana Laxmi Pathakam Services page will open up with services for both Kalyana Lakshmi and Shaadi Mubarak scheme.
4. In the “Shaadi Mubarak Services For Minority“, select the “Edit/Uploads” option.
5. The form to search the application will open up asking for issued Marriage ID and phone number registered in the application.
6. Click on “Get Details” after filling the required details.
7. You will get the entire application form and you can easily edit it.
8. Click “Submit” once you make corrections in the application form.

Application Verification Of Shaadi Mubarak Scheme

The process of verification of the application continues in the way given below:

• Earlier the TSMFC or District minorities welfare officer, Executive Director and Minorities Welfare Department was responsible for verifyication of the application but Tehsil is handling the procedure from now on.
• The appointed Member of Legislative Assembly will approve the list of the beneficiaries.
• The next step is the preservation of the list as a hard copy for maintenance of records and further upload the list.
• The issuance process of the cheques to the eligible beneficiaries will commence.
• The district minorities welfare officer will start preparing checques on the basis if the approved list.
• The MLA will manage the distribution of cheques to the beneficiary with the assistance of mandal headquarter or taluk headquarter.
• The name of the mother or the bride will be checked and the Director of Minority Welfare in Telangana will handle the rest.
• The finance department will issue the important guidelines to the treasury officers.

Implementation

The implementation of the scheme is done only after the verification of the details mentioned in the application form in the following manner:

1.  The applicants need to fill the application form and submit it in an online mode.
2. The virtual application formn will be downloaded and sent to the MRO office for verification.
3. The MRO office conducts the verification of all the details so as to check the eligibilty of the family.
4. The MRO refers to the respective MLA to sanction the amount of the scheme.
5. The RDO finally disburses the amount into the bank account of the bride’s mother or the bride in case she is an orphan.
