Kerala Sevana Pension Scheme was launched by the government of Kerala, for physically disabled people, unmarried, aged, and widows. The government has started six different schemes for the different types of people. According to the data around 7 percent of people in Kerala come under the BPL category, so for the sustainable development of the state, the administration has launched this scheme.

Objective of the Kerala Sevana pension
The main aim is to originate this scheme to decrease poverty in the state so that the people can take steps towards development. The project was started in the year 2000, at that time people were getting only 150 INR per month as a pension, but now it was increased up to 1500 INR per month. From this program approx. 4 lakh people took the benefit, and this portal has been launched so that pensioners can directly get the pension on their account by DBT, which reduces the third party which works as a barrier between the beneficiary and the government.

List of the Kerala Sevana Pensions
There is total of six pensions that are organized by the Kerala government for the well being of the people, the list of the scheme is mention below:

Agricultural Labour pension Scheme
As the name suggests that this scheme is for farmers, which was earlier handled by the Labour Department of the State, then after 1993 the rule was revised, now it was managed by the local bodies as per the order of the Govt. Even though all the procedure related to the yojana was supervised by these local bodies only, the procedure like receiving and processing the application form, check the eligibility criteria, etc., then after the beneficiary pension will come on time.
According to the data of the Agricultural Labour pension Scheme, around 435125 people already received the benefit of this scheme in the different districts of Kerala. And as we look up the suspended list of the social security pension is 373888, and this data is the State-wise data.

As per the Yearly interpretation of the ALP, the rate of the expenditure and allotment is minimum in 2013 and 2019, and maximum in 2018, and then in 2020.
Agricultultural Labour Kerala Sevana pension Eligibility Criteria
It is important to understand the criteria of eligibility, to fill the application form of the ALP, the eligibility criteria are given below:-
- At least for 10 years, the applicant should be a permanent resident of Kerala, so he/she will get the domicile of the State.
- The minimum age of the candidate should be 60 years.
- The candidate should not belong to the family of pensioners.
- The yearly income of the family should not be more than 1 lac.
- Plantation Labour is not eligible for this scheme.
- The applicant must be a member of the Agricultural Workers Welfare Fund of Kerala.
- The income taxpayer is not allowed to fill the application form.
- The land under the applicant is not more than 2 acres, excluding the ST category.
- The applicant can work as agricultural labour for at least 10 years under any landowners.
- The applicant can only own an Ambassador car if the candidate owns 4 or more wheel vehicle are not eligible for this scheme.
- This scheme is only for poor people.
- The candidates should not be retired from the State or the Central Govt.

Application Process
The process to submit the application form of the ALP is through the offline mode, the step-wise process is given below:-
- Firstly, the applicant has to visit the official site of the Sevana pension.
- And click to Download, then tap to the application form, and download the pdf.
- Then fill the application form which was available in the Malayalam language, then submit the form to your respective concerned authority, whether it’s a Gram panchayat or Corporation, or Municipality.
- After that concerned person will process your application form for verification.
- And within 45 days, the Enquiry will be conducted after the submission of the application form.
- The list of the beneficiary will be finalized within these 45 days.
- After the approval of the application form of the eligible candidate, then the fund will be transferred to the selected applicant in the first week of the falling month.
- If the applicant wants to appeal against the list of the beneficiaries, then he should submit to the concerned authority i.e; District collector.

Indira Gandhi National Old-age pension
Indira Gandhi National Old-age pension earlier was supervised by the State Revenue Dept. of the Govt., but by the revised rule of 13/12/1995, it is managed by the Local Self Govt Institutions. And the applicant must take approval from the District Collector of the area. This plan is generated not only for the weaker section of society but also for those parents whose children are not taking care of them.

Eligibility Criteria
- The age of the applicant should be more than or equal to 60 years.
- Not acquiring more than 2 acres of land.
- Income should be less than or equal to 1 lac.
- The applicant must be living at least from the past 3 years in Kerala
- The candidate must belong to the BPL category.
- Not getting any other pension from the Central or the State government.
- Not an ex-service person of the central or the State govt.
- This scheme is for those Old Age people who are not supported by anybody from their family.
- Not in the criteria of the Income taxpayer
- Not owing to any four-wheeler or more than that wheeled vehicle.

Application Form Process
The application form will be downloaded from the official site, then after filling in all the details the form has to be submitted to your respective concerned authority. By the submission of the application form, the Enquiry of Grama Panchayat will be held by the VEO or Municipality or Corporation Enquiry will be organized by the Revenue Inspector.
Within 45 days the inquiry will be conducted by the respective authorized person which will finalize the list of the beneficiary. Indira Gandhi National disability pension
The scheme was implemented for the mentally and physically challenged people, earlier it was managed by the Revenue Department, but later it came under the Local Self Authority. Under this scheme, one of the medical officers was appointed for the verification of the candidates, as per the rule they should be 40 percent disabled for this scheme.

Kerala Sevana pension Disability Eligibility Criteria
- The applicant not be included in the taxpayer list.
- There is no Age Limit to fill the application form.
- Not getting the benefit of any other pension from the State and the Central Govt.
- A beggar is not eligible.
- Should submit the disability certificate which should be verified by the medical officer.
- Applicants should not acquire any car or any other big vehicle except Ambassador.
- Opt land which is not more than 2 acres.
- The annual income of the family should be >=1 lac.
Application process
The application form has to be submitted to the empowered authority, then after the submission within 45 days inquiry will be held, and within these days the list of the selected candidates will be released by the officials. If in case, any candidate has any objection regarding the selection list, then he/she will submit their appeal against that list within 30 days. Unmarried women Pension above 50 years of age
This pension has been managed by the local authorized bodies of Kerala, but it is only for the single woman whose age should be at least 50 yrs. And the allocated amount to each individual will be 1500 and around 85577 women got benefit from this scheme, in which the suspended pensions was 15734, this data is to the year of 2020. Eligibility Criteria
- The age of the candidate should be <= 50 years
- Family income must be less or equal to 1 lac.
- The candidate should not be listed in the category of the Income taxpayer.
- Domicile of Kerala is mandatory to submit.
- If the candidate is living in a government-organized house, those candidates are not eligible for this yojana.

Indira Gandhi National Widow Pension
Earlier the scheme was supervised by the Social Welfare Department of the State Government, but later on, the responsibility transferred to the Local Self Government Institutions, which handle the whole process of the scheme. The name of the candidate must be mentioned as per the documents. The processing of this scheme is either done by Municipality/ Grama Panchayat/Corporation Secretary, whichever is available in your locality.

Application Process
The application process has to proceed manually, for that the applicant fills the application form which is available online on the Kerala pensioners portal, and you can also download it from the below-given link. Then, you have to submit the form to the government office authorized for this process. Then they process your application form for the verification process, and within 45 days, the selection will be done. All the selected will get the pension from the first week of the next month.
