Karnataka Government has launched Karnataka Shakti Yojana to provide comfortable facilities in buses to all the women of the state. Karnataka Shakti Yojana
Shakti Yojana was announced by Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on 5 June 2023 and this scheme has been started from 11 June 2023.
The Congress government has fulfilled its promise and provided the facility of free tickets to the women of the state to travel in buses. 41.9 lakh women of the state will benefit through this scheme.
To travel free, women will have to travel in KSRTC and BMTC buses. Apart from this, 5 women of the state will be given free travel cards.

Objective of Shakti Yojana Karnataka
