Jai Johar Bandhu Prakalpa Scheme 2023
Jai Johar and Bandhu Prakalpa are the two schemes launched to extend the pension benefits to elderly people. The former scheme will cover the old people of 60+ age of Scheduled Tribes while the latter will include the Scheduled Castes category. Under the scheme, incentives of Rs. 1000 per month to the eligible beneficiaries will be sanctioned. This will help them to be economically independent and be self-reliant.
Under the visionary leadership of the CM, Mamta Banerjee, the schemes safeguard the dignity of the mentioned categories. Amit Mitra, Finance Minister announced the scheme on 10th February 2020 in the state budget FY 2020-21. It is expected to reach over 25 lakh people across the state with a sum of Rs. 3000 crores, as proposed by the Minister.
