UP Mahila Samarthya Yojana has been announced by the Hon’ble CM Yogi Adityanath with an aim to empower and encourage the women of the state towards the path of development and self-reliance. Uttar Pradesh government announced the scheme to elevate the women-oriented local businesses, cottage industries, and other enterprises. More than 90 lakhs of industries have been set up across the state of Uttar Pradesh under different categories of micro, small or medium-level industries. Out of these, a major portion of industries falls under the Home and Cottage Industries, which is notably run and regulated under the supervision of the women. Most of the workers are also women. Hence, it became important to facilitate the women of the state and provide them with enough opportunities and facilities to do better.

Eligibility of Uttar Pradesh MSY 2023

We have enlisted the key eligibility for the scheme below for reference. However, the official guidelines have not been yet released for the scheme, we will include the exact eligibility criteria as they are published by the concerned department of the state.

• Only the women candidates can apply for the scheme.
• The applicant women must be permanent citizens residing in Uttar Pradesh state.

Implementation

The government has presented an implementation strategy to monitor and execute the scheme across the state. Check below.

• The government will set up Women General Facility Centres in about two hundred development blocks within the state.
• Women will be provided with various training sessions in these centres. The training regarding general production, packaging, technical research, business administration will be offered.
• Almost 90% of the cost of each centre will be borne by the state government.
• A two-tier committee will be formed at the state as well as district level under the guidance and Chairmanship of DM.
• Effective implementation of the scheme will be a combined effort of the State Level Committee and District level Committee.
• The DLC will identify the eligible and deserving women or groups of women to grant the benefits of the scheme.
• A number of counselling programmes, workshops and seminars will be organized to develop the required skillset among the women.

UP Mahila Samarthya Yojana 2023 Online Application

The scheme has been announced by CM Yogi Adityanath during the budget session of the year 2023 in the Vidhaan Sabha. As of now, no application process for the Uttar Pradesh Mahila Samarthya Yojana has begun. If you wish to apply for the same, you must wait till the official website or application forms are released by the concerned authorities.
