This scheme mainly organized for those candidates, who are unable to get proper education due to financial issues. The government of Maharashtra has running so many programs for farmers, labour, old-age people, physically disabled, school-going pupils, UG, and PG students. Right now, only Post matric scholarship has been opened, in which 13 departments will come, for the different types of communal people. The list of the scheme is as follows:-

Social Justice and Special Assistance Department

In this department there are five Scholarships will come, which named as:

Government of India Post-Matric Scholarship

This scheme has been launched by the government, for those candidates who are passionate about their studies, however, the Gov. has provided financial assistance so that they can fulfill their dreams. It is mainly for those candidates who belong to the minor category of the society, and unable to pay their tuition fees.

Post-Matric Tuition Fee and Examination Fee (Freeship)

The main benefit of this scheme is that it covers all that expenses which are necessary or compulsory like exam fees, admission fees, tuition fees. It also promotes the higher education of the candidates and helps to assist them financially.

Maintenance Allowance for student Studying in Professional Courses

Under this scheme, the maintenance allowances (Includes books, food, stationery, & residency) will be provided to the SC candidates. And the money is provided as per the duration of the course like for 4 to 5 years of course- 1k per month and for 2 to 3 years- Rs.500/ month will be given, etc.

Rajarshri Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Merit Scholarship

This scholarship is for the SC candidates who score at least 75 percentile or more, the selection is only based on the merit list. The selected candidates will get 300 INR for ten months.

Post-Matric Scholarship for Persons with disability

The government implements this scheme to reduce the leakage of education and open the opportunity for the candidate who is physically handicapped. In this scheme, the government has divided the people into 3 groups i.e A, B, & C.

Tribal Development Department

Tribal Development Department consist four Schemes for the well being of the people which are as follows:

Vocational Education Maintenance Allowance

This scholarship is for those candidates who possess any vocational courses, from this scheme the candidates also get the maintenances allowances. For two or less than two years of vocational courses, he will get 5k per annum, whereas if the candidate pursuing four to five years, of course, then he will get 7 k per annum. To know about the eligibility criteria you can go through the table which is given in the upcoming section.

Tuition Fee &  Exam Fee for Tribal Students (Freeship)

In this scheme, candidates only get the reimbursement of the tuition fees and the exam fees, all the other charges like maintenance charges are not covered in this scheme. This scheme is for those candidates, whose family income is less than two lakhs. Only ST candidates are eligible for this scholarship.

Vocational Education Fee Reimbursement

The courses like Animal husbandry, MBA, Pharmacy, Engineering, etc., can take the advantage of this scheme, but this one is for those who belong to the ST category of the society. Under this scheme, only school fees and examination fees can be refunded.

Post Matric Scholarship Scheme (GOI)

In Post matric Scheme, the administration has given the money according to the Group, there are four groups which are given as: –

  • Group I:- 550/ 1250 INR per month
  • Group II:- 530/ 820 INR per month
  • Group III:- 300/ 870 INR per month
  • Group IV:- 230/380 INR per month

And this scholarship has been given to the Hosteller or the Day scholar candidates which belongs to the ST community.
