This health scheme has been forwarded by the Department of Finance functioning under the Government of West Bengal. The scheme is forwarded under the Government of Ms Mamata Banerjee, who is the Chief Minister of the state. With this scheme, the government is giving out health-related benefit covers to all the government working employees, officers, and even government pensioners. It will also provide benefits to the Beneficiaries of Grant-in-aid universities and colleges.

Eligibility Criteria For The West Bengal Health Scheme

The portal of the West Bengal Health Scheme allows Employers and Pensioners to do the enrollment online on the portal. All Government employees can enrol themselves under the scheme through the official website of the government. The portal also has a wide range of options/ services under this portal. Registration Of Employees Under The West Bengal Health Scheme

Any employee working under the state government can easily apply for this scheme. The application process is online. Thus, anyone can apply for it even in the comfort of their home. To enrol, the employees can follow these steps:

Step 1: Go to the official website of the West Bengal Health Scheme. As the users land on the home page of the website, users will be able to see an option of ‘Online Enrollment‘ on the top menu bar.

Step 2: Moving the cursor on the options, a drop-down list will open up on your device. Among the list of options, click on the option of ‘Govt Employee‘.

Step 3: A new page will open up, where the employees will have to fill in the date of his/ her entry into their current employment under the state government. The employee will also have to click on Yes and enter his/ her G.P.F. No. or PRAN if the employee possesses such a number. Otherwise, he/ she can click on ‘No‘.

Step 4: After making the choices mentioned above, the users will have to click on the ‘OK‘ button and proceed.

Step 5: Clicking on the OK button an application form will open up. Insert all the details mentioned in the application form. It will include details on Name, DOB, Gender, Contact information, Identity Proofs, Office details, Department details, marital status, etc.

Step 6: On completing the filling up of forms, upload essential documents required in the application form like Photograph (50 KB/ JPEG) and Signature (10KB/ JPEG format). Also, any other essential document as per the requirement in the application form.

Registration For Govt. Pensioners In West Bengal Health Scheme

Residents who are currently pensioners under the state government of West Bengal are also eligible to apply for the benefits of this scheme. Any Pensioner who wants to enrol themselves under the scheme can follow these steps:

Step 1: Go Visit the official website of the West Bengal Health Scheme. Click on the ‘Online Enrollment‘ option on the home page of the web portal.

Step 2: A drop-down list will be available under the option. From the list, click on the option of ‘Govt Pensioner‘. Clicking on the option, the applicants will be directed to another page.

Step 3: On this new page, Applicants will have to click on Yes, if they possess the PPO Number. Otherwise, click on NO. In case you click on YES, the applicant will have to enter this number. If you click on NO, a new PPO number will be auto-generated for you which will act as your PPO number in the future. Click on the OK button and proceed further.

Step 4: On the next page, an application form will open up. The applicants will have to enter all the details asked in the form. Upload Photograph and Signature as per the specifications.

How To Register Under WBHS Grant In Aid (GIA) Colleges?

The portal of WBHS also consists of registration for the Grant in aid colleges and universities. To register, applicants can follow these steps:

How To Register Online For WBHS Grant In Aid (GIA) Universities?

  • Go to the official web portal for the scheme.
  • On the directed homepage, click on the option of ‘Beneficiaries of Grant-in-Aid University‘, under the Online Enrollment tab.
