With an aim to digitalize and modernize the state, the Punjab Government introduced an online portal to access Punjab land records online. An online platform, Jamabandi Punjab Portal under Punjab Land Records Society has been established to serve the purpose. The portal allows the residents of the state to view and check the status of their respective land records in the comfort of their homes. Punjab Land Records (PLRS)

Instituted by the Government of Punjab, the Punjab Land Records Society is authorized under the Registration of Societies Act, 1860. Through PLRS, numerous land and revenue-related strategies and policies have been digitalized. National Information Centre, Punjab has designed and developed the portal to assist the people.

The Department of Revenue, Punjab, in collaboration with NIC developed Jamabandi Punjab Portal. This portal helps the citizens of the state to access their land records, Jamabandi, Mutation reports, etc. easily and simply. In order to promote digitalization in Punjab, these services have been made online for public access.

Digitalization within the state has been the main motive of PLRS. With the launch and implementation of the online platform, it is very easy and simple to view and check the land records of the citizens of Punjab. It offers various e-services like Nakal Verification, view Jamabandi, Roznamcha, mutation reports, registry deeds, etc. Several Sukhmani Centres have been set up across the state to avail the benefits of the government schemes to the public.

Jamabandi Portal has been specifically designed to fetch land records of the state. The Department of Revenue monitors the functioning and implementation of the scheme.

Online Check Punjab Land Records

Jamabandi Punjab Portal allows the citizens of the state to obtain and acquire their land records in an easy manner. One can check their Jamabandi reports, mutation status and reports, view Roznamcha, access Cadastral maps, claim Registry deeds, register property tax, and much more. Here, we have provided the procedures on how to avail of these services.

NOTE:- Documents and Reports generated via the portal are not applicable for any legal purposes.

Before moving further to check the procedures of various services offered by the portal, you can set the region of your land for convenience.

Set Region

(i) Firstly, visit the official website of Punjab Land Records Society, PLRS @ plrs.org.in.
(ii) Click on the “FARD” icon as displayed on the homepage.

(iii) The user will be redirected to the Punjab Jamabandi Portal.
(iv) You will find the following dialog box on its homepage.

Nakal Verification

Nakal is referred to as the copy of land records. It comprises every single detail about the ownership and area of the concerned land. Jamabandi Portal has the feature for Nakal Verification. Check the Nakal Verification process below.

Step 1:- For Nakal Verification, a Punjab resident must visit the official website of PLRS i.e. plrs.org.in. One can also directly go to the official Jamabandi Punjab portal.

Step 2:- Search for “Nakal Verification” from the list of options in the Menu bar available on the left-hand side of the page.

Step 3:- Now, choose your District, Tehsil, and your desired time period. At last, click on the “Verify Nakal” button to proceed.

Step 4:- The following list will appear according to the data fed. The list will include details, such as Transaction Number, Transaction date, Name of the Operator, Village name, Name of the applicant, Khewat / Mutation / Measles / Diary / Fardabdar number along with a total number of pages and fees paid.

How to check Jamabandi online in Punjab?

Jamabandi, in terms of land record, is called Record of Rights (RoR). It consists of the owner holdings details along with the number of cultivators and their allotted pieces of land.

To check Jamabandi online, the beneficiaries need to visit the Jamabandi Punjab official portal. Find Jamabandi from the menu bar on the left side of the homepage. Click on it, a drop-down list containing search options will appear. Choose your option.

Owner Name wise

Clicking on the “Owner Name Wise” option will lead you to the following page. Enter the Owner’s name and click on the “View Owner Relation”. Your report will appear on the screen.

Khewat Number wise

(i) If you wish to search by your Khewat number, click on the Khewat Number wise option from the drop-down list.
(iii) Select your Khewat number.
(iv) Feed the Captcha code in the space provided.
(v) Finally, click on the “View Report”.
(iv) A list containing all the details will appear in PDF format.

Khasra Number wise

Those who want to search using their Khasra number can follow the following procedure.

  1. Click on the “Khasra Number wise” option under the “Jamabandi” tab.
  2. Enter your Khasra details and Captcha code to proceed further in the process.
  3. At last, click on the “View Report” button.
  4. A list in accordance with the details provided will appear.

Khatouni Number wise

To check the Punjab Jamabandi by Khatouni number, the users need to select their Khatouni number from the options available in the drop-down list. Fill in the exact captcha code in the space available against “Enter Captcha”. Lastly, click on the option of “View Report” and your required list will appear.

Roznamcha report

Roznamcha is the daily record of the land-related activities maintained by Patwari. To view the Roznamcha report of a village, follow the procedure described below.

Step 1:- Visit Jamabandi Portal Punjab @jamabandi.punjab.gov.in. There is a Menu sidebar on the homepage.

Step 2:- Search for “Roznamcha” tab. Click on the dropdown arrow against it.

Step 3:- Choose one of the options from the list to search and hence, check your Roznamcha report.

Rapat No. wise

You can search for your Roznamcha report using your Rapat number. For this purpose, click on the “Rapat Number-wise” option under the “Roznamcha” tab. Enter the year and the Rapat number to view the report. In the end, click on the “View Report”. A new list will appear on the details as per the details given.

Waqiati No. wise

(i) Click on the drop-down arrow against Roznamcha.
(ii) Select the option of “Waqiati Number Wise”.
(iii) Select Year, Type of Rapat, and Rapat Number from the lists.
(iv) Feed the captcha code in the space provided for the same.
(v) Click “View Report”
(vi) Your desired Roznamcha Report will appear on the screen.

Cadastral Map

Cadastral maps indicate the outline of land parcels within the region. The portal enables the people to view the Cadastral maps of the region of their lands. To access the cadastral maps, check the following step-by-step process.

Step 1:- You can either directly visit the Jamabandi Punjab Portal or through the PLRS official website. On the homepage of Jamabandi Punjab Portal, find the Cadastral Map. It will be available on the menu bar on the left side of the page.

Step 2:- Select your District, Tehsil, and Village names from their respective drop-down lists available.

Step 3:- On selecting all three, the cadastral maps of your desired location will appear on the screen. You can click on the picture for viewing on a bigger scale.

Mutation Status

At the time of sale/purchase, the ownership is transferred from the seller to the buyer. This process is called Mutation. One can view the mutation status of the property via the Jamabandi portal. Here, we have discussed the whole procedure for the same.

Step 1:- Go to the official portal of Jamabandi. Click on the “Dashboard- Status of Mutations” from the side menu bar.

Step 2:- Select your district from the drop-down list that appears. All the information regarding the mutations initiated, sanctioned, and pending will be displayed on the screen.

Step 3:- To further check the status, click on the “More Detail” link. A Mutation Pendency Report will open. It will conclude the number of mutations pending by Patwari, Kanungo, and Circle Revenue Officer.

Step 4:- Moving further in the process, click on the number against your district and under the number of days of your application.

Step 5: A new list indicating the District, Tehsil, Tehsildar, Kanungo, Patwar, Patwari, and Vaseeka Number will appear. Check your mutation status.

Mutation Report

Check the following process to view Mutation Report through the PLRS portal.

Step 1:- Visit jamabandi.punjab.gov.in. Find and select “Mutation” from the menu bar. Click on the “Mutation No. wise” option that appears.

Step 2:- The following page will open. Search for your Mutation number from the list and enter the captcha code. Finally, click on the “View Report”.

Step 3:- Required mutation report will be displayed on the screen.

Search for Mutation After Registry report

Search Mutation after Registry report by following the below-mentioned step-by-step procedure.

Step 1:- On the homepage of the Jamabandi Portal of Punjab, look for “Mutation After Registry” in the menu sidebar. Click on it.

Step 2:- A new dialog box will appear. Here, you can search via two methods. One by your Vaseeka number and the other by your Mutation number.

Step 3:- Select your District, Tehsil, and Vaseeka or Mutation number as chosen from the list. Click on the “Search” button.

Step 4:- You can view your desired report.

Online Request for Fard

You can make an online request to grant Fard for your land through the Jamabandi Punjab Portal. The procedure has been discussed below.

Step 1:- Firstly, the applicants need to visit the official portal of PLRS or can directly go to the Jamabandi Punjab official portal. On the left side of its homepage, select the “Online Request For Fard” option from the sidebar.

Step 2:- A drop-down list appears with options to view the report via different methods. Check the further process according to the option chosen.

  • Owner Name wise
    If you want to search via the owner name, select the “Owner Name Wise” option under the “Online Request for Fard” tab. Now, you need to enter the owner name and click on the “View Owner Relation” button. Check the report that opens.

  • Khewat Number wise
    Clicking on the option “Khewat Number wise” will lead you to the following page. Enter all the required details. At last, click on the “View Report” button.

    After selecting the “Khasra No. wise” option from the drop-down list, choose your Khasra number from the options available. Enter the exact captcha code. Lastly, hit the “View Report” button.

  • Khatouni Number wise
    You can also search the same using their Khatouni numbers. All you need to do is click on the “Khatouni number-wise” option from the list that appears on clicking the arrow against “Online Request for Fard”. Select your Khatouni number from the list and enter the exact captcha code in the designated box. At last, click on the icon of “View Report” available.

Fard Request Status

To check the Fard Request Status, the users need to visit the Jamabandi Punjab Portal and click on the “Fard Request Status” option available on the side menu bar on the left side of the homepage. When you will click on it, a new page will appear. Enter your Request ID and lastly, click on the “Search” button to know the track of your application status.

Integrated Property

If you wish to check the Integrated Property on the PLRS- Punjab Land Records Society official portal, follow the procedure described below.

(i) First of all, visit jamabandi.punjab.gov.in.
(ii) Search for “Integrated Property” on the side menu bar.
(iii) A new page will be displayed on the screen.
(iv) After that, provide all the required details, such as Khewat number, Location, and Registration ID.
(v) At last, click on the “Search” button.

Property tax

To register your Property tax, follow the following procedure.

(i) Go to the Jamabandi Portal of Punjab.
(ii) Then, look for the “Property Tax Register” tab on the left menu bar.
(iii) When you click on it, a new page will open.
(iv) Enter your Location and Property ID.
(v) At last, click the “Search” button.

Registry deed

To view your Registry Deed, visit the official Jamabandi Punjab portal. Further in the process, you will find the “Registry Deed” option in the menu bar available on the left side of the page. Click on it. A new page will open. Here, you can search for your registry deed through four methods, such as Seller/Buyer Name, Khewat number, Registration number, and Registration date. Choose your option. Lastly, click the “Search” button.

Court Cases on Lands

To check the status of the Court Cases related to lands, visit the official portal of Jamabandi Punjab. Click on the “Court Case” option from the left sidebar. Feed all the details asked and click on the “Search” button at last. All the court cases as per the provided details will appear on the screen. You can check the details, such as the party name, issue, associated advocate, case status, etc.
