About NCVT MIS Directorate General Of Training

It is an apex organization under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship for development and coordination in vocational training. It includes with women’s vocational training. There are many industrial training institute which under administrative and financial control of different union territory Administration and state government. Directorate General of training operates vocational training scheme for some special areas in the direct control. Scheme For Training

Craftsmen training scheme started in 1950. The government of India has introduced craftsmen training. It was established to ensure a steady flow of skilled workers for different industries in a different trade. It refers to a course of training which is done by any industry or establishment. It consists of basic training and practical knowledge of the job which are required at the actual workplace. The person who goes for apprenticeship training is called apprentice. This is done by any applicant who is physically fit, having minimum qualification and minimum age of 14 years. Choosing apprenticeship training is the choice of an individual that can undergo apprenticeship training for any trade according to choice.

Apprenticeship training gives an opportunity for undergoing training for the job. It exposes the apprentice to a real working condition. About Trade For Apprentice

Eligible physically fit candidates having minimum education of 8th, 10th, 12th or ITI pass out are eligible for apprenticeship. For certain trades, a minimum qualification of BSc is also required. However, these choices are according to the desirable qualifications of applying candidate trade apprentice. There are total 259 designated trades. The period of apprenticeship varies according to the designated trade. It may vary from 6 months to 3 years. For some trade, it can be up to 4 years. After completion of training apprentice need to appear for all India trade test. This test is conducted by National Council for vocational training. There is minimum stipend per month is applicable for trade apprentice. The applicant will get this stipend from the very first year. Distribution of minimum rate of stipend per month is:-

• First year candidate- A minimum of 70% minimum wage of semi skilled worker will be provided as stipend
• For 2nd year candidate – It increases to 80%

Third Party Agency Guidelines Under Apprentice Act 1961

Right now in India, there are more than 30,000 establishments for apprentice training. At present more than 2.1 lakh per apprentices are going under training through a large number of Institutions. Many trades are available for implementation and participation to encourage training. The reason behind the broadening of third parties and agencies is to facilitate industry for getting able staff. This will remove the inadequacy of supporting staff to support activities that involve under apprentice. There are more than 21 lakh Enterprises which are having six or more workers. This shows a huge potential for the requirement of skilled labor and it increases the need for apprenticeship training.

Eligibility For Third Party Agency

List of eligibility for the third-party agency is given below. Third-party agencies must have a pool of resources for infrastructure and applicants. Third-party agency can be entity which is existing for 5 years. Letter to support to have a minimum of twenty establishments are required which are interested to engage apprentice.

Responsibilities Of Employer

• The responsibility of the employer is to enter into the contract of apprenticeship and upload the contract on the portal site.
• Employers should arrange basic training for fresher apprentice and provide training at the workplace to engage them.
• It is the duty of employers for the payment of prescribed stipend to the apprentices.
• Also, provide compensation amount for the injured apprentices. This injury should be by accident during training.
• Third-party agencies tenure is of three years. They are appointed for that duration and performance is revised by the board every quarter.
