After winning the elections, CM Jagan Mohan Reddy promised the common public of the state to look after each and every community across the state. Fulfilling his promise, he announced the scheme, YSR Kapari Bandu Scheme in March 2023. The mentioned scheme will cover the Shepherd communities, majorly Gollu and Kuruma.

YSR Kapari Bandhu Scheme is an initiative by the CM Jagan Mohan Reddy to help the shepherd communities across the state of Andhra Pradesh. Under this scheme, the Gollu and Kuruma communities of the Shepherd faction will get monetary benefits from the state govt to buy twenty sheep and one goat. For this purpose, 30% subsidy and the relevant loan amount will be sanctioned to the beneficiaries.

The scheme is still in its early phase, hence, no proper guidelines have been issued for the scheme. As proclaimed by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, the scheme primarily focuses on reaching at least 50,000 eligible beneficiaries. For the effective implementation and administration of the scheme, the National Cooperative Development Corporation will direct and supervise the scheme strategies and policies.
