edistrict Assam is an online web portal offering online services to the citizens of Assam. The portal has been developed by the Government of the Assam as per the National e-Governance Plan (NeGP). Through the portal, the government of the state aims to enhance interaction between the common citizens and the government. It is basically an interface between the state residents and the governing bodies.

The state government is offering online services for more than 21 departments under the state. All these services can be accessed by the citizens through the Common Service Centres (CSCs), Public Facilitation Centres (PFCs) available at district and sub-district level. All of these online services on the portal are made available to all the 27 districts in the state.

eDistrict Assam Portal Login Process

To avail of all the district based services, applicants will first need to log in to the portal. To log in, citizens can follow these steps:

Step 1: Go to the official web page portal of e-district Assam. On the home page of the portal, applicants will be able to view a Login Section on the open page.

Step 2: Moving to the section, applicants will have to enter their Username and Password as set up during the registration. Entering both, applicants must insert the appearing verification code/ Captcha code in the given box.

Step 3: Inserting all the details and code, residents can click on the Login button provided under the section. A depiction of the same is provided below.

eDistrict Assam Portal Registration process

Amtron is a State Service Delivery Gateway to deliver all the services to the citizens of the state. Citizens who want to register to avail of all the eDistrict services can do so by following these steps.

Step 1: Visit the website portal of AMTRON Assam @onlinedistrictamtron.in. On the portal home page, applicants will be able to view a section of e-District Citizen Registration.

Step 2: Portal users will see a section titled Please Create Account in State Portal for e-District Citizen Registrations under the Registration section. Click on the tab as depicted below.

Step 3: Clicking on the tab applicants will be directed to the Sign-in page of the portal. On the open page, applicants will have to click on the link of Create Account available on the page.

Step 4: Clicking on it, applicants will be directed to the next page titled Create Account. On this page, a registration page will open up. Applicants will have to enter some basic details on this page. It includes details like the Name of the applicant, email gender, birth date and mobile no. Applicants will also have to choose their screen name. Inserting all the details, applicants will have to verify the code by entering the code in the given box. After that, click on the Save button located on the page.

Step 5: Upon successful submission of these details, applicants will be directed to the Sign In page. A success message will appear on the page. The email Id of the registered applicant will be automatically generated in the Email Address box. Enter the password (password will be sent on the registered email id of the applicant). Inserting the email and password, click on the Sign In button located on the page. A depiction of it is given below.

Certificate download at eDistrict Assam Portal

Applicants of the state can apply for various certificates through the e-district portal. Citizens can get residential certificates, caste certificates, death/ birth certificate, marriage certificates, etc. through the portal. The portal contains the application form for all the 46 types of services offered through the online portal. To get these certificates applicants can follow the process enlisted below.

Step 1: Go visit the official Online district website of the Assam e-district portal. On the home page of the portal, applicants will have to click on the tab of the Downloadable e-Form. A direct link to these forms is also available at the end of this post.

Step 2: Through this tab, applicants will be directed to the page where all of the important forms in the district will be available. On the open page, applicants will see a list of forms. To download any of the concerned forms, applicants can click on the Download link. Post downloading and filling up of the form applicants can submit these forms to the responsible authorities.

How to get your certificates on the eDistrict portal?

Citizens can check for their certificate by visiting the official portal of edistrict Assam. On the home page of the portal, applicants will see the section of View Approved Certificates. Under the section, applicants will have to enter the 19 digit certificate number and click on the Submit button in the section.

Citizens can also get their certificates through the e-Form portal Assam. Applicants first need to register on the official e-district portal to avail services on the e-form portal. Applicants can simply log in to the portal, apply for any types of certificates and get these certificates online. Also, types of certificates can get digital signatures on the portal only.

Citizens of Assam can now avail of the services provided by the e-district portal through the official e-district app provided by the state government. The government has developed an android app known as the Sugam App to offer these services to the citizens.
