Tnvelaivaaippu Objective
The main objective of the scheme is to provide job opportunities to the unemployed youth of the state of Tamil Nadu. Such candidates can register themselves for employment in the state via an online portal called TN velaivaaippu. The portal has been launched on September 15th, 2013 by Former Deputy Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu M.K. Stalin.
The portal allows easy access to the jobs available in the state in government as well as the private sector. Candidates can easily register themselves, update their profiles and apply for the renewal of their applications through the portal. It also encourages employability via Vocational Guidance.
Tnvelaivaaippu Validity
After the successful registration and verification of the applications, a tnvelaivaaippu employment card is issued to the eligible job seekers of the state. The validity of the Tamil Nadu Velaivaaippu employment card is three years from the date of issue. The card has to be renewed after the expiration date. The renewal procedure has been provided in the upcoming sections of the article.

TN Velaivaaippu Eligibility
To apply for the tnvelaivaaippu, interested candidates satisfy the eligibility criteria. The candidates must possess valid mark sheets and other documents to prove their eligibility.
- The applicants must be residing citizens of the Tamil Nadu state.
- The applicants must have passed class 8th, High school, Intermediate, Undergraduate, or Post-graduation. The candidates bearing valid mark sheets to prove their qualification can register themselves.
- Failed candidates are also eligible to apply.
- The candidates possessing special skills can also register. Special skills include typewriting skills, multiple languages, driving, etc.

Application procedure for Tnvelaivaaippu Registration
The job seekers can register themselves @tnvelaivaaippu.gov.in online in a very easy manner. The complete step-by-step procedure has been given below on how to apply online @tnvelaivaaippu.gov.in.
Note:- Aadhar card number is now obligatory for registration
1. Visit the official website of the Department of Employment and Training, Government of Tamil Nadu.
2. Select the highlighted tab to open the “Employment Exchange Website“.
3. There is an “Exchange Login Details” section box available on the left side of the page.
4. Select the “Click here” link provided against “For new User ID Registration“.
5. A dialog box containing all the terms and conditions will appear on the screen. Read those guidelines carefully.
6. Scroll down the page and click on the “I agree” button available at the end.
7. As you click on it, a new page will be displayed on the screen. It will be a “Candidate Registration Form“. Fill in all the details carefully and finally click on the “Save” button.
Application Fee
There is no application fee for online registration of the Tamil Nadu Employment Exchange scheme, tnvelaivaaippu.
Tnvelaivaaippu Renewal
The candidates can also renew their applications after the expiration of the validity of their respective application forms. For renewal, the candidates must follow the following procedure.
1. Visit the Employment Exchange Website.
2. Click on the “Renewal” link available under the Exchange Login Details section.
3. A new dialog box will appear. Log in with your username & password.
4. Follow the instructions and proceed accordingly.
Renewal Grace Period
A grace period of 18 months is allowed for the candidates who forgot to renew their application after the expiration date. The expiration date is three years after the date of issue of the employment card.
If the candidate does not renew the application even after the grace period of 18 months, it means that the application or registration ID of that particular candidate has lapsed. He will be no more be able to avail the benefits of the Tnvelaivaaippu employment scheme.
Update Profile at tnvelaivaaippu.gov.in
If a candidate wishes to update his/her profile with some work experience or qualification, follow the following steps.
- Visit the Employment Exchange Website.
- Click on the “Update” link available under the Exchange Login Details.
- Fill in your username and password to log in.
- Make the changes and update your profile.
