PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme (PMKSNY) is a scheme by the Central Government which provides financial support to small farmers. Under the scheme, an amount of INR 6000 has been fixed to be transferred to the accounts of the beneficiary farmer’s families via DBT. Now soon, the government is about to release the 10th instalment for the beneficiaries of this scheme. PM Kisan Nidhi Yojana is a Central Scheme with 100% finance by the Government of India. All the funds transferred as a part of the scheme are borne by the Government of India. Under the scheme, the amount of INR 6,000 fixed to disburse is distributed among the farmers in three even instalments. The money of the installment is directly transferred to the bank account of the beneficiaries.
The state government and the government of Union Territories are responsible to identify all such farmers who are eligible for the scheme. They ensure whether or not all the beneficiaries, fulfill the set guidelines of the government. The benefits that come along with the scheme are for all the marginal farmers of the country. The scheme also includes the families of the farmers as the beneficiaries under the scheme. In the family, it includes the husband, children, and wife.
This scheme started in December 2018 intending to reach about 125 million farmer families. Out of which, about 2.5 crore farmers are already a part of the scheme and are beneficiaries under the scheme. The cost borne on the scheme is worth INR 75,000 crore. Also, the government has already disbursed the amount of 7 installments. The 7th installment for the scheme was released on the 25th of December 2020.
To extend the benefits of the scheme the government has also extended the criteria of landholding. Earlier the criteria for the farmers to be eligible was of combined landholding/ ownership of up to 2 hacter. This criterion was renovated soon and all the agricultural farmer families were included under the benefits for the scheme. Now, there are more than 8 crore families for whom an amount of INR 17,000 crores has been transferred.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi further announced that the 10th instalment or kist will be disbursed into the bank accounts of the beneficiaries in the new year. As a gift of the new year, the farmers will be receiving the 10th instalment in their bank accounts through video conferencing. As of now, Rs. 10,82,07,103 have been deposited into the bank accounts of the candidates.

◈ Farmers of rural as well as urban areas can apply for the scheme.

The government of India is the body responsible for the Direct Bank Transfer (DBT) to the account of the beneficiaries. The 10th किश्त of the PMKSNY 2022 scheme is about to release very soon. It is expected to release by march end. Kisan can check for their name in the list by any three options. Either by the number of Aadhar, Mobile Number or with their Bank Account number. In one year, INR 6,000 is given in the form of 3 installments of INR 2,000. The government has a fixed schedule for the disbursement of the three installments. The time of the first installment is April to July. The second installment is between August and November. The final installment of the year is given from December to March.

As soon as the government releases the 10th kist amount, all the farmers who will be identified as beneficiaries under the list can check for their credit details. After that, all the beneficiary farmers can check their amount. To know about your credit installment amount and PM Kisan status, you can follow these steps:
- Visit the official website @www.pmkisan.gov.in.
- You will see a board of ‘Farmer’s Corner‘ on the Homepage of the website. Click on the option of ‘Beneficiary Status‘ under it.
- You will now be directed to another page. Enter the details and click on ‘Get Data‘. The users can check their beneficiary status through Aadhar number, Mobile Number or account number.
- All the details of transactions will be available on your screen.
