Madhu Babu Pension Yojana 2023
The scheme of Madhu Baabu was initiated in the year 2008. The scheme is proposed by the Department of Social Security and the Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities. Two of the state government schemes, i.e., the Disability Pension Rules, 1985 and the Revised Old Age Pension Rules, 1989 have been blended into one uniform scheme of Madhu Babu.
The scheme aims to benefit about 50 Lakh citizens of the state including benefits extended to the 5000 citizens from the transgender community. Thus, all the Physically disabled, old age citizens, and transgenders of the state are the potential beneficiaries of the scheme. With the scheme, a pension will be provided to all the possible beneficiaries of the scheme.
The scheme is a unique initiative by the government, especially for the transgender community in the state. The government made this decision to include the community as the beneficiary of the scheme on July 4, 2020, by approving the proposal for rendering pensions to transgenders.
The government has allotted a monthly pension amount of Rs. 500 and Rs. 700 as the pension to the people belonging to the transgender community. The pension amount will be age-dependent and will be given every month after the citizens make an application on the portal.

Madhu Babu Pension Yojana Benefits
The scheme provides a different range of benefits to all the categories of beneficiaries covered under the scheme. Online Application of Madhu Babu Pension Yojana
The application to be a beneficiary under the scheme is done Online as well as Offline. We are listing below the step-by-step process to apply online for the scheme.
Step 1: Go to the official website of the SSEPD Department. On the homepage of the portal, residents will see a tab of ‘Pension Schemes‘ available on the portal. Click on the option, users will be directed to another page.
Step 2: On the open page, the residents will have to choose the scheme for which they want to make an application. Choose Madhu Babu Pension Yojana among the options and click on the Proceed button.
Step 3: Clicking on the Proceed button, an application form will open up. Enter all the details mentioned in the application form. Select the type of Pension Scheme, Personal details like name, Parents’ name, gender, DOB, etc. Users will also have to enter their other details like aadhar number, mobile number, state, district, and other address details.
Step 4: Residents will now upload some documents like a Scanned copy of the Aadhar Card, a photograph, and also a Thumb Impression/ Signature.

The beneficiaries under the scheme are selected by the designated authorities. The announcement about the beneficiaries and the list will be generated publicly on the official website of the authority. The collector of particular districts arranges a selection camp in the presence of the Gram Panchayat Extension officers and other concerned executives who make the selection of beneficiaries every month.
